Jules first discovered yoga while visiting a friend in Minnesota taking a class at the YMCA nearby. The deep relaxation and presentness found afterwards, coupled with reading the book The Body Keeps the Score, led her to take a class at Love More where she fell in love with yoga. After years spent disconnected from her body as a trauma response, Jules has found yoga to be a practice of "coming back home" to the body.
After a few months of practicing yoga regularly, Jules signed up for and completed her 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training hosted by Love More through Hot Asana University. In addition to flow/vinyasa classes, Jules has also practiced Bikram, LSD, yin, Aerial, Buti, and Kundalini styles of yoga, as well as, taken workshops centered around gaining knowledge about the body including proper alignment, the vagus nerve, and lymphatic drainage.
Jules has a bachelor's degree in Psychology from Southeastern University and currently works in the mental health field at a counseling center and has previously worked with special needs children. Jules plans to take what she has learned about the body and mind to improve the well being of others and to reduce limiting thoughts, habits, and patterns that keep us stuck in the past and come back to the power of the "now."
