Lauren grew up on the Northshore, took yoga as an elective in college in 2008, and quickly fell in love with the practice. She practiced off and on since then at different studios as she moved to Dallas and then to Colorado. When she landed back in Covington in September of 2020, she found Love More and established her new yoga home here, and soon after enrolled in teacher training through Hot Asana Yoga University. She completed her 200-hour certification in May 2021 and started teaching at Love More in July 2021. Immediately upon completing teacher training, she enrolled in a 300-hour Kundalini teacher certification course through Full Circle Yoga School, and was certified in December 2023. Lauren offers Vinyasa, Yin, and Kundalini yoga classes at Love More.
Lauren believes that every human has the spark of divinity, an inner light that has the potential to shine brightly. She believes that among other things, practicing asana and Kundalini Yoga can help people find and grow their inner light. In 2023, she started a service called Inner Light Yoga - a medium to offer donation-based yoga classes, to make community yoga available to everyone. This service has since expanded to include Kambo ceremonies, and is now called Inner Light Wellness.
Outside of the studio, you can find Lauren in nature, roller skating, learning something new, enjoying live music, or spending time with her Pomeranian, Ziggy. You can follow Lauren on Instagram and Facebook, @innerlightlauren.
